This article is about Pluto (Expanded) as a boss, for the character, see Pluto. For his previous, optional battle, see Pluto (enemy).

Pluto (Expanded) is an enemy the player encounter in the end of the Last Resort, after defeating Mr. Jawsum and his mens, Mr. Jawsum will summon one of his strongest employee, Pluto, to take down Omori and his friends, after the battle, when Pluto is about to unleash his full power, Mr. Jawsum interrupts the fight to avoid further destruction of his office.

He can be fought again as an optional boss during the epilogue with Earth in the Otherworld Campsite, on the Solar System bridge that connects Captain Spaceboy's house to the Junkyard. He can also be fought again as one of the bosses of the Boss Rush.

As stated before, Pluto (Expanded) can be fought thrice:

First encounter / Boss Rush

In his first and Boss Rush encounters the only difference's his stats and rewards, which are as below:

  • First encounter: 3000 HP.png heart, 1500 MP.png juice, 52 attack, 32 defense, 22 speed and 10 luck (rewards with 6000 exp and 500 Clams.png clams).
  • Boss Rush: 10000 HP.png heart, 5000 MP.png juice, 85 attack, 65 defense, 70 speed and 15 luck (no rewards).

He will behave as follows:

30% chance of doing a submission hold, dealing damage to a party member and decrease its speed.

30% chance of doing nothing.

if his HP.png is below 40%, he will expand further (face), increasing his attack an defense and lowering his speed.

Otherwise, it will do a headbutt, dealing high damage to a party member, also damaging himself by 1% HP.png.

Additionally, once it reaches 50% HP.png, he will expand further (face), during the Boss Rush, he will instead expand further.

Pluto & Earth

Here, Pluto (Expanded) have the same stats as his Boss Rush variant of 10000 HP.png heart, 5000 MP.png juice, 85 attack, 65 defense, 70 speed and 15 luck, however he will behave differently, as seen below:

He will also start to charge his ultimate attack for two turns, after the charging, he will receive a "Pluto ultimate buff" state, allowing him to continuously summon a Pluto meteor to deal damage to the party and increasing his attack, defense and luck by 150% and his speed by 1000%.

Lastly, once his ultimate's ready, he will ignore Observe.png mechanics, as the ultimate attack has priority over observe.

Formulas

Skills that can be used when observe is used against the target are marked with Observe.png on his behaviour table, normally this would also be here, but it was removed to avoid confusion, as it acts differently between battles.

Attack: [2 * a.atk - b.def] (default).

Submission hold: [2.5 * a.atk - b.def], with a 30% damage variation, also decrease the target's speed by one tier.

Headbutt: [3 * a.atk - b.def].

Earth's Finale: [2 * a.atk - b.def] to all party members.

Expand further: Gives a state, that will force the following skills with the exact same effect of increasing attack and defense by one tier and decreasing speed by one tier to the user, the difference being:

  • Expand further face: Zooms in Pluto's face.
  • Expand further chest: Zooms in Pluto's chest.
  • Expand further right: Zooms in Pluto's Right arm.
  • Expand further left: Zooms in Pluto's Left arm.

Pluto meteor: [100] damage to all party, this will never hit right in the heart, and only have a 10% damage variation.

Trivia

  • Defeating Pluto and Earth's encounter rewards the player with "The Brightest Stars" achievement, on the same topic, it is not needed to defeat the Earth to win the battle, only Pluto himself, however, it is unlikely that the Earth survives the encounter due to the fight's mechanics.
