The Rain Area

The Rain Area, internally referred to as "Safe Spot", is an optional area in Black Space. It is the tenth room Omori will visit.

Overview

Compared to most Black Space rooms, the Rain Area is very calm: Gentle music plays throughout the area, and it has very little in terms of unsettling sights. Rain gently falls throughout Omori's investigation.

Following the path will lead to both the Key and Stranger, who will muse about missing Sunny, and hopes that his words can reach him.

Roughly to the west of the starting area, a giant head resembling Mari's with a huge brain coming out of the top can be found, referred to as 'Mari?'. When talked to, she will ask Omori to expand his mind. Repeatedly talking to her will result in her repeating this declaration as her brain slowly swells in size until she is crushed and killed under her own brain mass.

Like in the other rooms, collecting the key will spawn red hands that will teleport you back to the Black Space hub.

Trivia

  • This area is referred to as "Safe in the forest" in one of the language files. [1]
  • Mari?'s dialogue mirrors that of an optional conversation that can be held if Omori agrees to have a picnic with Mari while inside Humphrey.[2]
