The Looping Forest is an area found in Black Space. It can be accessed through one of the doors in the Black Space 2 hub area.
Overview
The Looping Forest is a rather labyrinthine, looping forest filled with unusual, eerie sights, such as floating, poorly drawn scribbles resembling Mari and a UFO.
There is a radio that will play seemingly random songs with static in between them. There are several boxes around that, on examination, give quotes that appear to relate to Sunny's guilt about the past.
"Swumphart", a thing that resembles Sweetheart with exaggerated features and weird speech can be also found. Kel runs around the forest at extremely high speeds. If he gets near Omori, he will greet him very briefly, the textbox itself only appearing for a second or so.
A door can be found near the mirror. Entering it will cause Omori to very quickly exit, having seen something that "wasn't for [him]."
Interacting with the giant steak in the area will cause Omori to eat it. Partaking in this large meal will result in Omori being unable to run due to "fullness", although this effect will quickly wear off.
Hide And Seek
Heading roughly south-east from the ladder leading to the "Heads looking up" area, a mirror can be found. Interacting with the mirror will ask the player if they want to play hide-and-seek.
If Omori agrees, the mirror will disappear after counting down from five, leaving Omori, the seeker, to track it down.
If the request is denied, the mirror will disappear. It will reappear once Omori leaves the area and returns.
The mirror will appear in one of two possible places:
- Tile x: 14 and y: 10; this is exactly above the smiley waterwall and a bit to the south-west of the school desks. If this was the first round's location, a second round will commence, and the mirror will move to the location below.
- Tile x: 64 and y: 33; this is exactly left of the mirror. If this location is chosen for the first round, the game will end without a second round.
After being found either once or twice, depending on where the mirror was, "Shattered Omori", Omori's reflection, will walk out of the mirror and count down from five. He will be near the very first location, which is at below the smiley waterfall.
Upon finding and interacting with Shattered Omori, he will shatter, leaving only a pile of glass. After leaving the area, the pile of shards will move to the mirror's original location should Omori return. Moving over the pile will damage Omori slightly based on his maximum HP.
Locations
Heads Looking Up
A ladder can be found that leads into some clouds. At the bottom of this ladder is a blob, possibly resembling Hector. Going up the ladders leads you to "Heads Looking Up".
Heads Looking Up is a narrow horizontal area with heads looking up that resemble Mari's. Interacting with the telephone in the middle of the area will result in a text-filled bubble appearing and following Omori around. There are 7 bubbles in total:
- "Bills Bills Bills"
- "We have come to collect"
- "Hi Omori"
- "Insurance??"
- "I know what you did"
- "I'm a loser"
- "Congratulations you won!"
Aubrey School Area
Roughly in the middle are neatly aligned school desks in a 3x3 formation. Interacting with the middle-bottom one will cause Omori to sit down and faceless people to stare at him.
Interacting with blackboard will cause it to move, revealing a letter. Interacting with this letter will warp you to "Aubrey School Area".
This room resembles a school hallway. A stuffed toy blocks the way back. The hallway is full with Aubreys that all wish to go on a date with Omori; they will profess their love to him and follow him as he walks down the hall. At the end, the last Aubrey will notice the harem Omori has gathered. Angrily stating that Omori can't date all of them at once, she initiates a fight between the Aubreys, until only two remain, trapped in a stalemate. The remaining two Aubreys confront Omori and demand to know which one he will go out with. Regardless of his answer, he will immediately wake up after his selection.
Shrinking Room
Yet another door can be found through a somewhat hidden pathway, if entered, will bring Omori in the shrinking room.
The shrinking room is a narrow room 3 tile wide room that shrinks to a 1 tile wide room. At the other end is a door that leads to the Very Small Room.
Very Small Room
The very small door features a small platform for Omori to stand on and a big figure with a large, pointy snout looking down at him. This figure is known as Longsnout.
Other
- Red Hands can be found lingering around. If Omori tries to go near them, they disappear.
- The fifth head of Mari from the left in "heads looking up" will teleport Omori to the developer room if interacted with.
- This can further lead to the Town area. If accessed through this method, Meido, a cut beta character, can be found.
Alternative Entrances
- Interacting with the vines in Sweetheart's Garden on the last day of the Hikikomori Route gives a 10% chance (1/10) to warp into a small, secluded area. The main forest area, and by extension the rest of the area, can be accessed from here through a hidden passageway on the right.
