Mari is home

Mari is home is an area found in Black Space. It can be accessed in Water Walkway while on the true route.

Overview

Mari is home and by extension, Red Room, can be accessed through very convoluted means.
Mari is home closely resembles Sunny's home but with minor changes meanwhile red room is a big dark area with a "something zoo" and several tree stumps.

How to enter

1. Make sure that you are on the true route.
2. Progress normally up until to the Backyard area.
3. There, collect the key, wait 143 seconds and jump off the missing tiles.
4. After you got warped to another map, walk up until you see an object in the void and interact with it.
5. Now walk to the entrance to the corrupted junkyard and go south from it to a set of swings with a door near it.
6. Enter the door.

Notable maps

Mari is home

To start off, there are scratches on a lot of the walls. Some objects seem to be completely missing. The door to the toybox room is missing and a scratch remains in its place. In that same room there is a new mirror hanging near the toybox room's door.

Sunny's bedroom

A giant head that is looking down is looming far above the room. Omori's sketchbook can be found in the lower left corner.

Bathroom

The bathroom is a lot smaller, featuring only a bathtub and a knot.

Piano Room

The piano room has no window. Kel, Aubrey and Hero can be found here talking about Mari being home again. Near them is a ladder that leads to a corridor.

Corridor

The corridor is small and vertical, at the bottom end is a door that when interacted will reveal that Mari is behind the door. After a bit of empty dialogue, the game will give Omori a choice, to either open the door or not.

If the door is not opened, Mari will come out and chase Omori and throw him out of the room back into Water Walkway.

If the door is opened then it will play a short animation, akin to the Mari jumpscare in the first night, and grant you access to Red Room. Please note that Mari will still come out and chase Omori if he simply walks away.

Quotes

Aubrey: "Hey, Omori... I think your sister is ignoring us. Maybe you should go talk to her."

Kel: "We can't have a picnic without Mari!"

Hero: "Mari hasn't been home in a long time... She just needs some room to adjust."

Notes

• Several things happen if one would open the door for Mari but then go back up to the house.

• Something appears in the kitchen.

• This seems to be broken as Something's animation doesn't play out properly and no sounds play.

• Mari appears in Sunny's room between the lamp and the telephone. She looks up.
• Kel, Aubrey and Hero disappear in the piano room.

• with this, the entrance to the corridor is covered up by a carpet and a piano.

• All the doors in the hallway leading to Sunny's room, the bathroom and his mother's bedroom are open

• The sprites for Kel, Aubrey and Hero change depending on what route the player is on. Due to the fact that this area is exclusive to the true route, one cannot see this.
