Hushpuppy is a creature that can be found in Orange oasis, it will only show up if you sacrifice the Stray Cat in the Dough Dungeon, it will engage in combat if it touches any party member, chasing much slower than normal, yet it won’t stop untill it reach the player.

Battle

Hushpuppy has 430 heart, 215 juice, 40 attack, 33 defense, 49 speed and 10 luck. Like most enemies, it will behave differently in battle based on its emotion:

While neutral, it will first roll a 65% chance of doing a normal attack, followed by 35% chance of doing nothing, if both fail, it will do ‘muffled screams’, inflicting afraid in one of the party members. If defeated while neutral, it will reward the player with 684 exp and 316 clams.

While happy, it will first roll a 35% chance of doing a normal attack, followed by 25% chance of doing nothing, if both fail, it will do ‘muffled screams’, inflicting afraid in one of the party members. If defeated while happy, it will reward the player with 684 exp and 474 clams.

While sad, it will first roll a 25% chance of doing a normal attack, followed by 65% chance of doing nothing, if both fail, it will do ‘muffled screams’, inflicting afraid in one of the party members. If defeated while sad, it will reward the player with 513 exp and 237 clams.

While angry, it will first roll a 80% chance of doing a normal attack, followed by 25% chance of doing nothing, if both fail, it will do ‘muffled screams’, inflicting afraid in one of the party members. If defeated while angry, it will reward the player with 1026 exp and 316 clams.

This is the only creature that can afflict afraid status to the party that shows up in the Foe Facts!, on the same topic, it also shares the BGM of all common fear enemies, as well as the darker, black and white like battlefield, which also makes it harder to tell its emotion state.
