Omori serves as the final boss enemy in Omori for the Sunny Route, in which Sunny finally decides to face his guilt over Mari's death and move on from the past.
Story
During the Final Night, after fighting Basil and Sunny playing his violin on a concert stage, presumably in Headspace, he breaks down crying and wakes up in White Space as himself. Upon exploring White Space further, Omori can be seen slightly below the location of the black lightbulb was before it was broken. Besides Omori, the line leading up to the ceiling from the lightbulb, and the rectangle, White Space appears to be empty. Upon Sunny confronting Omori, the battle begins, with the stakes presumably being Sunny's mind.
The battle consists of six phases, with progressively increasing difficulty, with the background changing to increasingly disturbing images as well as music and sounds. The player only needs to reach the fourth phase to progress. If the player dies past this point, there are two possible endings, depending on what they choose:
- Good Ending: If the player chooses to continue, Sunny stands back up, and begins to play a duet with Mari, giving the player a cutscene showing parts of Sunny's childhood. After this, another cutscene plays. wherein Omori hugs Sunny and drops his knife, before disappearing. After this, the player wakes up in a hospital, and meets all his friends in Basil's own hospital room, and presumably confesses about Mari's death.
- Bad Ending: If the player chooses not to continue, the cutscene in which Omori hugs Sunny plays, except that this time Sunny drops his violin and disappears instead of Omori. This results in Omori waking up in White Space again. When they enter the Neighbour's Room, all of his friends are unusually quiet and simply run up to him. When they exit the room, Sunny appears on what appears to be the Hospital's roof, alone, with his eye bandaged. Following this, he jumps off the building, and the credits play.
