Knife is a weapon in OMORI. Once obtained, it is automatically equipped to Omori, and cannot be unequipped. It will be replaced with the Dull Knife after fighting Something in the Water.

Obtaining
After fighting Something in the Walls, Omori's Shiny Knife will turn into the Knife.
