Watermelon Area
"Watermelons sure are delicious!"—Basil
The Watermelon Area, internally known as the "Watermelon Path", is a room in Black Space. This room is the seventh one Omori will visit.
Overview
This initial area is primarily made out of a dark forest, with watermelons sparsely grown around. As Omori advances, he will discover Basil's Flower Crown, shortly followed by Basil himself, who will express his gratitude at Omori's arrival, before asking him to escort him out of Black Space.
Basil will reminiscence over memories of eating watermelon over the summer with his friends as he follows Omori. The duo will eventually be transported into a large, looping dark void filled with watermelons.
After Omori smashes seven watermelons, Basil's head will explode upon attempting to smash the eighth, killing him. The next watermelon Omori smashes after this contains the key.
Collecting the key will spawn red hands that will teleport you back to the Black Space hub.

Basil: "Let's get out of here... I'll follow your lead!"
Basil: "Growing watermelons here has been fun, but I really miss my flowers back at home... How are they doing? Did you take care of them while I was gone? Hehe..."

Basil: "We used to cut them up and eat them all the time at the beach! I can still see Kel with those watermelon seeds all over his face, haha..."
Basil: "Summer vacation with friends was the best, wasn't it?"
