The Disco Area, otherwise known as "Subconcious Spill", is a room in Black Space. This room is the second room the player will enter in Black Space.

Overview

This area is a lot more cheery than the rest. There seem to be many things that remind Omori of home, however, if the player interacts with these objects, it'll tell them that they're far away from home.
There's a big blue cat named "Loquacious Cat" that can be asked many psychological questions. No matter what question you ask though, it'll respond with random answers that don't mean anything.
There's many houses with doors that are too small for Omori to enter, blocks of randomly changing colour, a person with long hair in a bed that was covered with a blanked, crudely drawn plants, and sprites that were taken apart and strewn around.
A Bluecloud lingers around, asking anyone near it to aimlessly follow it around.

In the bottom right corner there's a key and Stranger waiting for Omori. Even though it is optional, the player can talk to Stranger for some extra dialogue.
Like in the other rooms, collecting the key will spawn red hands that will teleport you back to the Black Space hub.

Quotes

Stranger: "Lost in this confusion lies the root of everything."
Stranger: "The truth that you've locked away... You must find it no matter what."
Stranger: "You have to... for the both of us."
"You are far away from home."

If you talk with the Loquacious Cat:
Loquacious Cat: "Hi im Loquacious Cat ask me anything."
Random responses said by the Loquacious Cat:

Loquacious Cat: "Two yards of leather."
Loquacious Cat: "One thick sewing needle."
Loquacious Cat: "A tomato made of cloth."
Loquacious Cat: "A pair of rusty scissors."
Loquacious Cat: "A small wooden table."
Loquacious Cat: "Lots and lots of little pins."
Loquacious Cat: "A pair of big beautiful buttons."
Loquacious Cat: "A bagful of white cotton."
(Note: All of the text is actually uppercase ingame, this has been changed to make it more readable.)

Cut Warp

Originally, if you positioned Omori next to the Matryoshka dolls that resemble him, he would've been warped to Cloud Walkway. This has been cut because the developers didn't have enough time to test it extensively. [1]

Notes

  • The music heard here is very similar to Edvard Grieg's "Peer Gynt - Morning Mood" but distorted.
