Sunny's Mom (real name unknown) is a character in OMORI. She is the parent of Sunny and his sister Mari, alongside their father.

Appearance

While she never appears in person, their family portrait shows her to have wavy red hair with earrings and lipstick.

Personality

While she never appears in person, bits and pieces of her personality can be gathered from her phone calls and in flashbacks. During the events of the game she is shown to care a lot for Sunny, calling regularly to check up on him and leaving sticky notes around the house to remind him to take care of himself. Following Mari's death she becomes overly coddling and protective of Sunny, being afraid of losing him as well. In flashbacks, she is implied to be a heavy coffee drinker.

Story

Sometime after Mari's death Sunny's Mom and Dad split, with the latter never being seen again while Sunny's Mom remains to care for her son.

Sunny's Mom is absent during the game's events, busy preparing for the move to their new home in the city. Each day she leaves messages for Sunny, checking up on him while reminding him of the list of chores she has left for him. She also suggests he try talking to his friends again before they leave for the city.

She appears outside in her car at the end of the Hikikomori route, waiting for Sunny to leave for their new home in the city. Otherwise, she does not appear at all outside of a brief flashback during the truth sequence.
