All files on OMORI wiki must be accompanied by a license template that shows the copyright status of the file. This article lists the types of licensing templates available for use.

Guidelines

Images and media on the OMORI Wiki must follow these licensing guidelines.

  • All images must have a license template appear on their file page;
  • The license template used must be correct; examples of incorrect licensing:
    • claiming fair use ({{FairUse}}) justification on a screenshot image;
    • using a public domain ({{PublicDomain}}) license on a copyrighted image;
  • If the image contains trademark(s), the tag {{Trademark}} must be used in addition to the appropriate license tag for the image.

OMORI content

Copyright

Any OMORI images, screenshots, audio clips, other content extracted from game files or artwork or concept images should use the following templates. Do not mark any of this content using other licenses or claiming it under fair use.

  • {{ArtworkOMORI}}
    • For use on any media taken from the OMORI website, social media, OMORIBOY blog, etc.
  • {{AudioOMORI}}
    • For use on audio files extracted from the game.
  • {{ExtractOMORI}}
    • For use on artwork extracted from the game.
  • {{ScreenshotOMORI}}
    • for all artwork, concept images, or other drawings for the game, such as content from social media.

Free content

Public Domain

Content that is free to use under US copyright law.

  • {{PublicDomain}}
    • For media which has been released into the public domain by the copyright holder, is ineligible for copyright, or has had its copyright expired.
  • {{PublicDomainSelf}}
    • For media that you yourself have created and release into the public domain.

Non-free content

Fair use

Limited use of copyrighted media that is not an infringement.

  • {{FairUse}}
    • For media which is used under fair use terms.
    • Do not use this for any OMORI content.
    • If applicable, you can use the first parameter to specify who owns the copyright: e.g. {{FairUse|Microsoft Corporation}}
  • {{Trademark}}
    • For use in addition to another license tag to show that the media contains trademark(s).
