Quests
In OMORI, quests are elements of the game that are sometimes necessary for progression.
If an NPC shows a white lightning bulb that means that they will give you a quest if you talk to them, after accepting the quest or talking to them three "..." will appear meaning that you accepted the quest and that you can now do it. When a black lightbulb appears that means that you completed the quest and that if you talk to them, they will give you a reward. After you finish talking to them a sound can be heard meaning that you successfully completed the quest.
Quests can be viewed by talking to MARI which will show the progress of the quest and whether they are complete or incomplete sometimes having extra dialogue each time you make some progress in the quest.
Quests can be divided between side quests and main quests. Main quests are necessary for the game to progress, so you will have to complete them to advance in the story. Side quests, on the other hand, are not necessary and can be completely ignored, but they will give rewards for completing them, some side quests are more difficult than others so each one will have different rewards for doing them.
