'''Enemies''' are hostile creatures and humanoid [[Omori]] and his friends will encounter during their adventures in [[Headspace]], they can be found basically everywhere, as almost every map has a list of enemies that, if ever see the party, will chase them in an attempt of entering in battle, some enemies will not chase the player, and will instead remain still until touched or wander aimlessly. There are also some enemies that can only be fought through scripted events, these being usually called "boss enemies". 
[[Sunny]] can also encounter some enemies, but with most of them being scripted, with very few exceptions.

'''Basil''' is a major supporting character in ''[[OMORI (game)|OMORI]]''. He serves as one of the driving forces throughout the game as the party spends most of the game looking for him after his sudden disappearance.

==Profile==
===Appearance===
In Headspace, Basil is a medium height boy with pale skin, teal eyes, teal chin-length hair, wearing a purple, blue, and pink flower crown. He wears denim overalls with a large pocket on the chest and a white t-shirt under. He doesn't wear any shoes.

In the real world, he has blond-greenish hair that he has a single pink flower tucked into. he wears a grey knitted tank-top over a white t-shirt, beige shorts, and black shoes, the same clothes that [[Sunny]] wears.

===Personality===
Basil is shy and socially anxious but cares deeply about his friends. He enjoys taking pictures, caring for plants, art, and reading. It is said in the game that "He will never throw away anything, no matter how worthless it is."

====Headspace====
Basil's headspace counterpart is rather cheery, yet shy and humble. He is quick to forgive, as can be seen by his encounter with [[Boss]] after hide-and-seek, and he is very empathetic. He is friendly, and his shyness seems to stem from having low self-esteem and putting others' needs above his own.

He is incredibly sentimental, keeping memorabilia of his friends and happy memories through photos, and planting flowers that remind him of his friends, taking great care to plant flowers that he associates with his friends. His empathy stretches to his plants as well, showing a lot of worry when they're in danger of being hurt, and talking to them as he would his friends. It is noted that he avoids conflict. He doesn't learn to fight, even after his friends nag him to.

====Real World====
Compared to the headspace Basil, the real-world version of him is more anxious and sensitive. He is a target for bullying, typically by [[Aubrey]] and [[The Hooligans]], but during the events of the game, if the player takes the Normal Route, usually [[Kel]] and Sunny defend him from harassment. The increased anxiety he shows is most likely due to his guilt over [[Mari]]'s death.

==Background==
Basil was born on February 18th to unnamed parents. He lived with his grandmother since he was a toddler because his parents were "too busy." As a child, he was friends with Sunny, [[Hero]], Aubrey, Mari, and Kel. He enjoyed taking photos and kept a [[Photo Album|photo album]].

After Sunny accidentally pushes Mari down the stairs, Basil suggests framing the accident as a suicide. They hang her body from a tree in Sunny's garden. After looking back into the garden, the sight of the corpse's eye traumatizes them.

==Story==
Something is a manifestation of [[Sunny]]'s guilt over [[Mari]]'s death, representing all of his fears and phobias.

===Background===
After Sunny accidentally pushes Mari down the stairs, [[Basil]] speaks words of comfort to him and makes the decision to frame the accidental murder as a suicide. After looking back into the garden through the glass sliding door, the sight of the corpse's eye staring back at them traumatizes them.

===Nights 1-3===
Something first appears in the game after you enter the [[Neighbor's Room]] and look back into the keyhole. If you go north from the stump, it appears briefly over the [[White Egret Orchid]]. It appears again in the mirror in [[Cattail Field]].

Something has influenced and amplified Sunny's fears for heights, spiders, and deep bodies of water to the point of being irrational phobias. These specific fears were affected because of a near-death experience Sunny had falling off a statue into a deep body of water due to a spider.

===Night 4===
On the final night, Sunny confronts Something head-on. During their battle, flashbacks of the three old phobias appear as Sunny overcomes them again. After using his skills Calm Down, Focus, and Persist, Sunny learns the skill Overcome, as Something's simplistic appearance fades into Mari's hanging body, swinging in the wind.

Sunny wakes up in the middle of the night. At this point, the story diverges based on what Sunny chooses to do.

====Saving Basil====
If Sunny enters Basil's room, he finds a Basil trapped by Basil's own Something. Basil promises to save Sunny from Something and attacks him. Sunny's eye is injured but he successfully manages to survive Basil's attack and both of them are rushed to the hospital. After waking up, Sunny walks to Basil's hospital room and confesses the truth about Mari's death to everyone there. If the player has regularly watered Basil's plants in the [[Headspace]], Basil wakes up to see both his and Sunny's Somethings disappear.

====Leaving Basil====
If Sunny goes back to sleep without entering Basil's room, Basil will commit suicide and can be seen in his room with Something surrounding him. Sunny then goes home and sleeps, and when he leaves [[Faraway]] the next day Something follows him.

==Story==
Something is a manifestation of [[Sunny]]'s guilt over [[Mari]]'s death, representing all of his fears and phobias.

===Background===
After Sunny accidentally pushes Mari down the stairs, [[Basil]] speaks words of comfort to him and makes the decision to frame the accidental murder as a suicide. After looking back into the garden through the glass sliding door, the sight of the corpse's eye staring back at them traumatizes them.

===Nights 1-3===
Something first appears in the game after you enter the [[Neighbor's Room]] and look back into the keyhole. If you go north from the stump, it appears briefly over the [[White Egret Orchid]]. It appears again in the mirror in [[Cattail Field]].

Something has influenced and amplified Sunny's fears for heights, spiders, and deep bodies of water to the point of being irrational phobias. These specific fears were affected because of a near-death experience Sunny had falling off a statue into a deep body of water due to a spider.

===Night 4===
On the final night, Sunny confronts Something head-on. During their battle, flashbacks of the three old phobias appear as Sunny overcomes them again. After using his skills Calm Down, Focus, and Persist, Sunny learns the skill Overcome, as Something's simplistic appearance fades into Mari's hanging body, swinging in the wind.

Sunny wakes up in the middle of the night. At this point, the story diverges based on what Sunny chooses to do.

====Saving Basil====
If Sunny enters Basil's room, he finds a Basil trapped by Basil's own Something. Basil promises to save Sunny from Something and attacks him. Sunny's eye is injured but he successfully manages to survive Basil's attack and both of them are rushed to the hospital. After waking up, Sunny walks to Basil's hospital room and confesses the truth about Mari's death to everyone there. If the player has regularly watered Basil's plants in the [[Headspace]], Basil wakes up to see both his and Sunny's Somethings disappear.

====Leaving Basil====
If Sunny goes back to sleep without entering Basil's room, Basil will commit suicide and can be seen in his room with Something surrounding him. Sunny then goes home and sleeps, and when he leaves [[Faraway]] the next day Something follows him.
